Candle care

The first burn

Let the wax melt across the whole surface before you blow it out, usually two to three hours. It stops the candle tunnelling.

Every burn

Trim the wick to about 5 mm. Burn for no more than four hours at a time, away from draughts, curtains and shelves above.

Safety

Never leave a burning candle unattended, and keep it out of reach of children and pets. Stop using a candle when 1 cm of wax is left. Demo guide.
