About ESSENCE
ESSENCE is a fictional perfume house created to show the POLYMATH theme. The lab, the notes and the trials on this page are demo content.
We make six fragrances and no more. Each one takes about a year, is worn by the whole lab for months, and lists every note on the bottle.
The lab
Forty-three trials
A formula is mixed on Monday, left to settle, and worn on skin on Friday. Rose Fumée took forty-three rounds, most of them spent teaching the incense to sit under the rose instead of on top of it. (Demo.)

A new fragrance arrives when it is ready, usually once a year. Sometimes an old one leaves to make room.

If you love a scent, it will still be here next winter. Nothing is made scarce to make you hurry.
