Recovery that works

By Editorial team

The work happens in the session; the progress happens after it. Before you buy anything for recovery, get the free things right.

Sleep first

Seven to nine hours, in a dark room, at roughly the same time each night. Nothing you can buy does more.

Then move a little

An easy walk or ten minutes on a roller the day after a hard session helps you feel less stiff. Roll slowly, and skip anything that is actually painful.

Eat and drink

A proper meal within a few hours of training, and a bottle of water you actually finish.

General guidance, not medical advice.
